Welcome to Sanctuary Church!

Thanks for visiting us on the web! We are a brand new growing non-denominational* church in Escondido, CA.

Did you know that God has a plan for your life? Think about that for a moment! Do you know what God's plan is? Can you describe it? As a church, it's our desire to help you identify that custom-designed plan and implement it. The benefits are out of this world! I mean, literally.

I'll just touch on one of them. Peace. A peace "not as the world gives". This is a peace "that passes all understanding". This is the kind of peace that Jesus offers!

I could go on with some other benefits that result from knowing God's plan and implementing it. But I'd rather have you explore them for yourself by visiting us this Sunday!

Current Message Series

Our current message series is titled, "Genesis: Back To The Beginning". Understanding Genesis is important in order to fully understand the rest of the Bible. Genesis is the foundation.

Genesis is the first book of the Bible.  It starts with, "In the beginning... God". Before anything else happened; before there was "matter" even time didn't matter... before all of that there was God. Genesis is where it all starts because without God, nothing else matters. Nothing has any real value or purpose.

I could go on and on but I'll save it for this Sunday! Hope to see you then!

We launched our second service!

Our main services are now held at

10:00 am and 11:45 am

"Are you an early riser? Come on out to our 10:00 am service. Better yet, come on out at 9:15 am to check out our pre-service 'life group' for some prayer and encouragement... especially if you're interested in serving on our worship team, multi-media ministry, or transportation ministry."

"NOT an early riser? Then come on out to our 11:45 am service. Whichever service time you prefer, come as you are, meet some new friends, hear an uplifting message and get some REAL hope and love. You will be glad you came."

-Pastor Paul and Danica

When: 10:00 AM and 11:45 AM on Sunday mornings

Why: To know God's plan for your life and to execute it (Great Commandment and Great Commission)

(Sunday Morning Service)

Sanctuary Church loves children and knows that God has a custom-designed plan for them as well! There's a lot we can learn about God through our children because Jesus said, "Let the children come to Me, and do not hinder them. The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these!"

The children are in the main service for praise and worship then they head off to their classrooms for age-specific and engaging Bible study with fun-related arts and crafts. Your children will feel welcomed! We look forward to helping meet your family's needs.

What is a LIFE group?

A LIFE group is a smaller community within the church whose primary goal is to make fully mature disciples of Jesus. Sanctuary Church acknowledges that our Sunday morning service alone cannot accomplish this.

LIFE groups encourage us to:

  • Live out the Word – In other words, to learn about and be obedient to what the Bible has to say about living a life pleasing to God! Be “doers of the Word…” (Jas).

  • Inspire works of ministry by discovering how God shaped us for service (1 Cor 12; Rom 12; Eph 4).

  • Foster love for God, His family, and the lost (1 Cor 13).

  • Encourage intimacy through authentic fellowship, shared lives, and support (Acts 2:42-47).

Jesus said in John 10, “I have come so that you may have life and that to the full!” What He meant was that our lives would be made so whole and complete by doing life His way that we find ourselves fully satisfied in Him, no matter what our circumstances happen to be! That’s amazing! How do we go after that?

Well, the Bible teaches that we were re-created to be in community with one another. There’s a purpose for us getting together on Sunday mornings. But it doesn’t stop there. Take your relationship with God to new heights by visiting one of our life groups!

Non-Denominational - In Christianity, non-denominational churches are those not formally aligned with an established denomination, or that remain otherwise officially autonomous. This, however, does not preclude an identifiable standard among such congregations. Non-denominational congregations may establish a functional denomination by means of mutual recognition of, or accountability to other congregations and leaders with commonly held doctrine, policy and worship without formalizing external direction or oversight in such matters.
