Welcome to Sanctuary Church!

Thanks for visiting us on the web! We are a brand new growing non-denominational* church in Escondido, CA.

Recently a friend asked me, "Why did you decide to pastor a new church in Escondido"? I thought that was a good question. The why needs to come before the what.

The textbook answer to this question is found in our mission statement:

"Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ."

That's the motivation behind everything we do, because we have learned that as we grow in our relationship with Jesus, we have found "life and that to the full!" (John 10:10) Our desire is that you would also experience this life... a peace that passes all understanding, joy inexpressible, purpose and meaning and... well, I can go on and on.

Come on out this Sunday and experience it for yourself!

What do you think of regarding the "Holy Spirit"? Perhaps you grew up knowing Him as the "Holy Ghost". Or perhaps you never thought of Him as a "Him"; rather a Spiritual Blob of sorts to be thrown around or on people! (That should have given you a good laugh if you grew up in certain church circles)...

...or perhaps a Force, you know, like "The Force" in the movie Star Wars? "May 'The Force' be with you, Luke."

Well, in the Bible there's a whole theology behind the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit and we have been learning all about it on Sunday mornings. Fascinating stuff. The astounding thing about learning, or re-learning about the Holy Spirit is that we end up experiencing renewal and revival in our hearts! And it's all centered on God's great love for us.

Come on out this Sunday for some renewal - some refreshment - in your life! Regardless of what you believe or where you come from, we would love to have you...

Sanctuary Church loves children and knows that God has a custom-designed plan for them as well! There's a lot we can learn about God through our children because Jesus said, "Let the children come to Me, and do not hinder them. The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these!"

The children are in the main service for praise and worship then they head off to their classrooms for age-specific and engaging Bible study with fun-related arts and crafts. Your children will feel welcome! We look forward to helping meet your family's needs.

Non-Denominational - In Christianity, non-denominational churches are those not formally aligned with an established denomination, or that remain otherwise officially autonomous. This, however, does not preclude an identifiable standard among such congregations. Non-denominational congregations may establish a functional denomination by means of mutual recognition of, or accountability to other congregations and leaders with commonly held doctrine, policy and worship without formalizing external direction or oversight in such matters.
